Description
This dataset contains two collections of raw Laser Speckle Images (LSI) acquired to quantify the viability of Candida tropicalis biofilms adhered to a solid substrate. Each dataset consists of time-resolved speckle sequences obtained under controlled illumination using a 632.8 nm He–Ne laser and recorded with a monochromatic CCD camera. For every biofilm sample, a stack of 61 raw speckle frames was captured with an exposure time of 300 ms and a temporal spacing of 300 ms, enabling high-sensitivity analysis of microscopic activity within the biofilm. The datasets include biofilms exposed to multiple cytotoxic conditions—specifically, Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) treatments at different concentrations—along with untreated controls and background measurements. These experimental conditions were designed to generate a broad range of biological activity levels for algorithmic benchmarking. The files are provided in uncompressed TIFF format to preserve the original sensor information, including speckle grain distribution and pixel-level intensity fluctuations.
